I have always had an aptitude for spelling, grammar, consistency and clarity. Errors leap out at me and I love nothing more than correcting them.
In 2011 I graduated from the New Zealand Institute of Business Studies, having successfully completed a Diploma in Book Editing and Proofreading. I also hold a BSc(Hons) in Botany (First Class) from the University of Otago, New Zealand.
I enjoy variety in my proofreading and editing jobs. Having studied Botany and worked in the biological sciences, I am familiar with scientific publications including papers, theses, proposals and articles. In the past decade I have also proofread and edited several fiction pieces, including short stories and novels (both adult and young adult). Since 2012 I have helped several authors publish work in both literary and scientific journals and assisted many students in submitting polished PhD and Masters theses. I have also proofread and edited several websites, CVs and job applications. More recently I have helped various NZ district councils with policy document editing.
I am based in Invercargill, New Zealand but provide New Zealand-wide service.
